Leonardo Cavalli to speak at this year’s CNCC Deep Renovation Conference

We are pleased to be taking part in the second edition of CNCC’s (Italian Council of Shopping Centers) Deep Renovation Conference. The annual event, dedicated to the world of retail and its continued development, will be held on 20th April at Palazzo Mezzanotte in Milan.   Leonardo Cavalli, ONEWORKS managing partner and committee member of the Architecture, Technic and Sustainability Commission in CNCC will participate as a speaker within the panel “Il Centro Commerciale naturale”. Leo will be also be joined by Roberto Sibiano, studio director at Ufficio di Milano Design International and Adolfo Suarez Ferreiro, partner at L22.   This year’s event also presents the 1st Edition of the CNCC Design Awards Ceremony. Milan Design Week: Thanks for visiting our Crowded Spaces and Busy Places exhibition

Last week, during the Milan’s Salone del Mobile 2017, ONEWORKS hosted an exhibition focusing on our expertise of designing for ‘Crowded Spaces and Busy Places’.   Held in entrance hall and courtyard of our Milan headquarters, the exhibition featured some of our most recent and successful projects from across the world. ONEWORKS presents “Crowded spaces and busy places” at Milano Design Week 2017

From April 4th to 8th, between 10:00 and 20:00, in the heart of the Brera Design District,  ONEWORKS opens their studio doors to present the exhibition “Crowded spaces and Busy Places”.   Aviation, Infrastructure, Retail and Urban Design are the representative sectors of our exhibition.Designed with great attention to detail and an extensive knowledge of the physical, historical, social, functional and environmental context, each of the presented buildings and facilities host millions of people every year.   From projects currently taking shape in the Gulf, such as the Major Metropolitan Stations and Transport Education Center in Doha and Western and Downtown Stations in Riyadh, through to completed (or near completion) such as the Airport of Bergamo, The CityLife Plaza in Milan and the “Atlantes” Shopping Centre in Tours - the exhibition is able to bring the visitor from the macro scale of a large intervention to the microscale of the singular furniture.    This exhibition marks the first step on a new path for ONEWORKS as it competes as a truly Global Design and Consultancy that continues to attract young talent that is both curious and fascinated by a type of projects that, by nature and vocation, must be addressed with an interdisciplinary and intercultural approach.   As part of the exhibition, we will be displaying a selection of architectural and design elements that ONEWORKS is currently incorporating into a range of different projects. For example, an extraordinary ceiling made by Atena, an innovative company specialized in false ceilings and external coverings, a bespoke green wall built by  landscape firm Paisà, Peverelli - specialists in design construction and maintenance of green, and IGC Strutture; specialist lighting by designers ERCO. a leader company in the architecture lighting, and Italian manufacturers Atena Lux; as well as bespoke furniture designed by the well known B&B and Magis.     The week presents a unique occasion to see our growing headquarters and to get your fill of good Architecture and Design.

We are pleased to announce Giulio De Carli, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of One Works, will speaking together with Andrea Geretto, Head of Commercial & Marketing Non-Aviation at SAVE, at this year’s Passenger Terminal EXPO – the world’s leading international airport conference.   The event, in its twentieth edition, will be held from 14-16 March 2017 in Amsterdam and represents one of the most important airport networking event of the year.   Giulio De Carli will be sharing One Works’ expertise in the Aviation sector and speaking about our work at Venice International Airport. One Works Wins Transport Education Centre International Competition

One Works is the winner of the international competition held by Qatar Rail for the new Transport Education Centre in Doha-Qatar.   The contest's precise goal is to bestow the City with a building symbol of the extraordinary change that is affecting the entire country.   Combining past, present, and future, the Transport Education Centre will tell the story of how Qatar is positioning itself as a country dynamically connected as well as being crucial element at the base of an economic, cultural and social growth for the entire Gulf region, thanks to an ambitious program of integrated transit infrastructure developed on the basis of an important history and knowhow.   Mohamed Timbely, Senior Director of Qatar Rail commented - "One Works has perfectly interpreted the spirit and the goal we set for ourselves from the competition's outset. New Malpensa T2 Station inaugurated last week

With construction works concluded for the new Malpensa Airport T2 station, the new connection between Terminal 1 and 2 will be activated in these days, providing a direct connection to the Terminal 2 operated by Easyjet.   One Works, partner with CREW, was commissioned by SINA to develop the execution phase of the train station, parkings and road accessibility. The project comprises also an access building at the ground level, a multifunctional mezzanine and a connecting shelter.   SEA realized the new infrastructure that is part of a more extensive renovation project of the Malpensa Terminal 2.   "For the Terminal 2 we have an ambitious and challenging renovation project: we are launching the restyling of commercial areas, food & beverage activities and all those spaces dedicated to the passengers" - says Pietro Modiano, SEA’s President (ilgiorno.it)

Within the Master of Science in Architecture “Architectural Design for Complex Constructions Studio I” - held by professors Emilio Battisti, Francesca Battisti and Mauro Marinelli – Leonardo Cavalli will share his expertise in a case study on Transit Oriented Developments during the Seminar “Milano: Railyards Urban Recovery”   The lecture will take place in the Room Z.1, starting from 10.00 to 13-00 am, at the Politecnico di Milano.   Along with Cavalli, Francesco De Agostini “Changing Milano” and Mario Zambrini “Environment Sustainability” will also be guest lecturers.
