Monluè Milan Hotel Restoration

In the overall land reclamation study, a specific restoration project for the Hotel Monluè called for a full understanding of the abandoned building's reinforced concrete skeleton and the environmental degeneration degree of its surroundings.

The hotel is to benefit from a large urban park for public use on the current abandoned area. Hence, the design proposal preconfigures an extended and increased complexity of the hotel facilities with a multipurpose center to include spaces for the general interest such as a congress hall and wellness center. Environmental and technological issues contributed to solutions for a green roof, high acoustical and thermal performance, MEP automation, rainwater recovery, and predisposition for solar roofing.
